National Language of India..?

Is Hindi our National Language..?

Today while having breakfast at cafeteria we were discussing something about Movies, Sharukhan - Pakistan players, etc, etc. Someone said Hindi is national language, I said "There is no national language for India, Hindi and English are official languages". Oh! no one believed and started arguing and finally I asked them to find out somehow whether India has national language or not. Since I said the above sentence it does not mean I hate Hindi or I don't like Hindi or something else. Its just truth that India does not have National language.

One of my friend who had participated in this discussion checked in internet and found that there is no national language and she accepted it. But few people could not accept that Hindi is not a national language.

Come on! only few states mother tongue is Hindi not all the states. So those states do not belong to India? Those people are not part of India? Majority of states mother tongue is not Hindi. People from TN, Kerala, AP, Karnataka, All north east states, etc, etc do not know Hindi.

Even I did not know that Hindi is not our national language until we had similar kind of discussion around 1.5 yrs back in my room. Mohan said "Lal, belive me India doe's not have national language..!, if you want then please you check it out". "ok, let me check" I said. Then I checked in Google and I found the same that India doe's not have any national language. Even I had read samething in some book and then I believed it.

Some two weeks back there was a judgment from Gujarat high court saying that "Hindi is not a national language so you can't force anyone to write all the details in Hindi on their consumer products". Some one filed a case against some consumer product company saying that all the details on all their consumer products should be in Hindi so that every one can read and understand. But the above was the judgment from High court.

India itself was not a single country long time back and it was separate small countries ruled by many kings. So people speak many languages. Finally when we got the freedom from Briton we were a single country India by the time. Since Congress was the party who played major role to get the freedom Hindi became popular. Hindi was the mother tongue to the Gandhi, Nehru families.

After got the freedom, Congress announced that Hindi will be the national language. And even they tried to force Hindi to all the states and they won in the battle in most of the states except Tamilnadu. Politicians from Tamilnadu might have refused Hindi coz they might have scared to compete with central parties. Selfish? Everything was politics...!?. Whatever it may be forcing something against people is not democratic. So finally Congress withdrawn the rule and announced "Hindi is not a national language, Hindi and English are the official languages".

Because of these Politicians from Tamilnadu I could not speak in Hindi, watch Hindi movies. etc, etc :-)

Again, Whatever it may be forcing something against people is not democratic..!!!

We are so tired, CM sir please do something...!

Usually I hate Ajith due to his loose talks, no sincearity in cinema and the dialogue "I came from poor family without anyone's support...", etc, etc. But all of sudden my mind turned towards Ajith after hearing his superb speech on the stage which made to praise the CM of Tamilnadu.

While all cine workers Kamal, Rajini and even Amithab, etc were praising the CM like anything, Ajith said "even though we are not interested to attend some functions we are forced to come, people are threatening us, we are so tired, CM sir please do something". I think Ajith might be not knowing that the CM is the one who is forcing you guys to attend the function and asking to praise him. Or he might be knowing but still he requested the CM to do something since no other option he has. Whatever it may be the truth is he dosn't like to attend these kind of functions and he told the same in front of the CM itself. What a brave guy he is...!! He had lots of operations on his lower back but still he stands very straight while all other guys are bending...!!!

Just because of his speech I thought of watching his new movie "Asal". Unfortunately that movie was not running and end up watching "Theeratha vilaiyaattu pillai".

சினிமா கற்றுகொடுத்த தமிழ்..!!!

வாத்தியார் கற்றுக்கொடுக்காத தமிழை சினிமா எனக்கு கற்றுகொடுத்தது..!

நான் தமிழ் மீடியம்லதான் படிச்சேன்னாலும் எனக்கு அவ்வளவா தமிழ் உச்சரிப்பு தெரியலை. இதை எனக்கு கற்றுகொடுத்தது சினிமா தான்.

எவ்வளவு பேருக்கு "ண"-க்கும் "ன"-க்கும் இடையில் உச்சரிப்பில் உள்ள வித்தியாசம் தெரியும்? "ல"-க்கும் "ள"-க்கும்? "ள" -க்கும் "ழ"-க்கும் உள்ள வித்தியாசம்? நான் மூன்றாம் வகுப்பு படிக்கும்போது "ழ"-க்கு நாக்கை மடிக்கணும் "ல"-க்கு நாக்கை மடிக்க கூடாதுன்னு சொல்லி கொடுத்த ஆசிரியர் "ள"-வை எப்படி உச்சரிக்கனும்ன்னு சொல்லி தரலை. அவருக்கே தெரிஞ்சிருக்காது பாவம். சரி "ள"-வையே சொல்லித்தராத வாத்தியார் எப்படி "ன" மற்றும் "ண" உச்சரிப்பை பற்றி சொல்லி தர போகிறார்!? சொல்லி தரவில்லை.

ஒரு சினிமா பத்திரிக்கையில் வந்த கேள்வி "சாதனா சர்கமும், உதித் நாராயணனும் 'ள'-வை ஒழுங்காக உச்சரிப்பதில்லையே?"-ன்னு. அப்பறம்தான் புரிந்தது "ள"-க்கும் "ல"-க்கும் உச்சரிப்பில் வித்தியாசம் இருக்குன்னு.

இன்னொரு நாள் டிவி நிகழ்ச்சியில் SPB "ண" -க்கும் "ன -க்கும் உள்ள வித்தியாசத்தை விளக்கினார். அப்பத்தான் புரிந்தது எனக்கு "ன"-க்கும் "ண' -க்கும் உள்ள வித்தியாசம்.

"ழ" - நாக்கை மடிக்க வேண்டும்.
"ல" - நாக்கை மடிக்க கூடாது.
"ள" - நாக்கை கொஞ்சமாக மடிக்க வேண்டும்.
"ன" - நாக்கை மடிக்க கூடாது.
"ண" - நாக்கை மடிக்க வேண்டும்.

"ந" - இதை எப்படி உச்சரிக்கனும்ன்னு யாருக்காவது தெரியுமா? எனக்கு வாத்தியாரும் சொல்லி தரலை சினிமாவும் கத்துக்கொடுக்கல.

P.S: "ழ" - க்கு இங்கிலீஷ்-ல "ZHA" போடறாங்க ஆனா "LHA ('ல' + 'ஹ" = 'ழ') " தான் சரியாய் இருக்கும்.

Traffice Police Vs Beggars

Some time back when I was riding my bike back to my room from my office. I was waiting in a signal to turn Green. That evening was heavy traffic than usual Bangalore traffics. I started riding my bike as signal turned to Green, suddenly a traffic police man came and caught me saying "you have broken the traffic rule". Then I turned my head up and saw there was a Red signal.

These traffic police changed the signal from Green to Red within few seconds since their higher officials were coming in an another road. I tired my best to convince him that it was not my mistake. But he did not listen to me at all instead that police man said "Give me 200 Rs". At the same time I just saw a beggar(hijra) in the traffic signal asking for Money. Oh! Really I could not find differences between the Police man and the Beggar. Then I thought "Ok, this guy might be not having money to have his dinner or to go to movie or to buy a sari for his wife..!? I said "why?". "Ok, give me 100 rs" that police person said. I said "I cant give you bribe, file me case for my mistake".

He took his Blackberry(yes, now Bangalore Police became high-tech ), typed something, got the printout and gave me the slip. That slip showed two cases filed on me that "Breaking the traffic signal" and "Obstacles Traffic" though I did not disturb the traffic actually. I paid the fine 200 and while leaving from there I saw "one bike man giving him 100 Rs as bribe to save 100 Rs".

P.S - If the government reduce the fine amount then everybody would pay the fine instead of giving the bribe. At least government would get the money. I did not believe when one of my friend said the same. I just realised how true it is when I saw people were giving bribe to save another 100.

Save Tigers...

Save Tigers..! Save Tigers...!

Since government is requesting to write blogs about "Tiger" I am scrapping something.

One of my friend said "First let the government save the people in the country then let them save the Tigers" when he saw this ad in the TV. Then I said to him that "Number of People in our county is more than 100 cr so it does not matter to government to save their people. I think he said the above sentence by keeping terrorism, poverty, education, imbalance in the society, etc, etc in mind. Yeah its just true that government does not bother about their people.

Do you think giving such a ads will help to save the Tigers? I don't think so. May be 1 percent !?. I don't think people who kill the wild animals will be changed by seeing their heroes trying to protect the Tigers in ads. Then how to protect the tigers? Severe punishment? Severe punishment may give 10 percent of results. I don't know how to protect the wild animals. But, I am sure that I will not kill any wild animals since I am educated and I am earning what I need to have my food. So people are killing wild animals just for money!? They might have not found any other way to earn money to have food!? Yes, I think so. If that's the case who is the responsibility to loose the Tigers? I am sure its just government who failed to give good education to the people, who failed to balance the society, who failed to remove the poverty.

The reason for almost all the crime would be either uneducated, poverty or imbalance. Now, government is doing "kathiravan vanakkam" that too in wrong side. Will it help?

I don't know whether India could save the tigers. But Bengal Tiger saved India in many times.

India wanted to kill all the Tigers in the neighbor country and they did that well too. But wanted to save their Tigers :-)

திரைப்படங்களின் தாக்கங்கள்...!

நேற்று "ரேணிகுண்டா" படம் பார்த்தேன் நல்லாவே இருந்தது. இப்படத்தின் விமர்சனத்தை பற்றி இங்கே எழுதவில்லை மாறாக இம்மாதிரி படங்கள் தேவையான்னு ஒரு கேள்வி மனதில் தோன்றியது.

அதற்குமுன் சமீப காலத்தில் சேலத்தில் நடந்த ஒரு சம்பவத்தை சொல்கிறேன். என்னுடைய UG கல்லூரி கால நண்பனை சந்தித்தேன். அவன் எங்கள் college junior ஒருவனை பார்த்திருக்கிறான் ஒரு பெரிய ரௌடியாக. அந்த ஜூனியர் பையன் எங்களை "அன்னா", "வாங்க", "போங்க" என்றே மரியாதையுடன் கூப்பிடுவான் கல்லூரி காலங்களில். ஆனால் இப்பொழுது வெள்ளை வேட்டி, வெள்ளை ஷர்டில் ஒரு ரௌடியாக உலா வந்திருக்கிறான். பார்ப்பவர்கள் அவனுக்கு வணக்கம் செலுத்தி இருக்கிறார்கள். என் நண்பனோ அவனை பார்த்ததும் ஒரு ஜூனியர் என்ற எண்ணத்திலே பேசி இருக்கிறான். ஆனால் அவனோ எந்த ஒரு மரியாதையும் இன்றி "ஹ்ம்ம்", "அஹ", "ஓகே" என்று ஒறிரு வார்த்தைகளை உதிர்த்துவிட்டு கிளம்பி இருக்கிறான். அப்புறம்தான் தெரிந்தது அவன் ஏதோ ஒரு கொலை கேஸ்ல மாட்டி ஒரு ரௌடியாக உருவேடுத்துள்ளான்னு.

இம்மாதிரி பசங்களுக்கு ரௌடிகள் ஹீரோவாக தெரிகிறார்கள் அதனாலேயே அவர்களும் ரௌடிகளாக மாற்றபடுகிறார்கள். நானும் கல்லூரி காலங்களில் பார்த்திருக்கிறேன் சில அடாவடி, ரவுடி பசங்கள் கிட்டத்தட்ட ஹீரோவாக அவர்களை அவர்களே நினைத்துக்கொள்வதை.

ஓகே, இப்பொழுது படத்திற்கு வருவோம். இப்படத்தில் வரும் கதாநாயகர்கள் அனைவரும் டீன்-எஜெர்ஸ். அவர்கள் காசுக்காக கொலை பண்ணும் கூலிப்படையினர். இம்மாதிரி கெட்ட கொலைகாரர்களை நாயகர்களாக காட்டுவது நியாயமா? ஏற்கனவே ரௌடிகளை ஹீரோவாக என்னும் ஆட்களின் மனதில் இம்மாதிரியான படங்கள் மோசமான விளைவுகளை ஏற்படுத்தாதா? சமுதாயத்தை இம்மாதிரியான படங்கள் பாதிக்குமா இல்லை புகைபிடிக்கும் காட்சிகள் பாதிக்குமா? புகைபிடிக்கும் ஹீரோக்களை எதிர்க்கும்(அதுவும் பெரிய ஹீரோசை மட்டும் எதிர்க்கும் - அப்பத்தான் பெருசா பேசபடுவோம்ன்னு எண்ணம்!?) அன்புமணி போன்றோர் இம்மாதிரியான படங்களை எதிர்க்க வேண்டாமா? ஓகே அவர்களுக்கு உண்மையிலே சமுதாயம் பாழாக கூடாதென்ற எண்ணம் இருந்தால் தானே. எல்லாமே பேருக்காகவும், புகழுக்காகவும் தானே நடக்குது தமிழ் நாட்டில்.

எது எப்படியோ, இச்சமுதாயம் திரைப்படங்களை பார்த்து அதையே பின்பற்றும் நிறைய முட்டாள்களை கொண்டிருப்பதால், திரைப்படங்கள் சமுதாயத்தில் மிகபெரிய தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்துகிறது எனபது மறுக்க முடியாத உண்மை. அதனால் திரைத்துறையினர் சமுதாயத்தை மனதில் கொண்டு படங்களை உருவாக்க வேண்டும்.

முதல்வரின் அறியாமையா அல்லது எகத்தாளமா?

அண்ணா அறிவாலயத்தில் செய்தியாளர்களை முதல்வர் சந்தித்தபோது ஒரு நிருபர், 'திரைப்படத் துறையினருக்கு பல்வேறு சலுகைகளை அறிவித்து வருகிறீர்கள்.​ திரையரங்கில் டிக்கெட் கட்டணத்தைக் குறைக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படுமா?' என்று கேட்டார்.

அவர் பக்கமாகத் திரும்பிய கருணாநிதி, 'இரண்டு கேள்விகளும் பொருந்தி வரவில்லையே?.​ அந்தக் கேள்வியை அப்படிக் கேட்கக் கூடாது.​ தனித்தனியே கேட்க வேண்டும்.​ நான் ஒரு நிருபராக இருந்து இந்தக் கேள்வியைக் கேட்கிறேன் பாருங்கள்' என்று கூறிவிட்டு "சினிமா கட்டணத்தை மாற்றி அமைப்பீர்களா?​ என்று ஒரு கேள்வி கேட்க வேண்டும்.​ திரைப்படத் துறையினருக்கு பல சலுகைகளை அளித்து வருகிறீர்களே.​ அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு நன்றி காட்டுகிறார்களா? என்று தனியாக கேட்க வேண்டும்" என்கிறார்.

சினிமா கட்டணத்தால் பாதிக்கபடுபவர்கள் முட்டாள் ஏழை மக்களே, அதனால் திரை துறையினருக்கு வழங்கப்படும் சலுகைகள் மக்களுக்கு கொஞ்சமாவது சேரவேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்தில் இக்கேள்வி கேட்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால் அதை புரிந்து கொள்ளாத நம்முதல்வர் "திரைப்பட துறையினர் உங்களுக்கு நன்றி காட்டுகிறார்களா?" என்று கேட்கசொல்கிறார். என்ன ஒரு பேராசை? அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு நன்றி காட்டினால் என்ன காட்டாவிட்டால் பொதுமக்களாகிய எங்களுக்கு என்ன?

நிருபர்கள் கேட்ககூடிய கேள்விகளை கூட முதல்வரே முடிவு பண்ணுவதை என்னவென்று சொல்வது?!

ஏன் சினிமா துறைக்கு இவ்வளவு சலுகைகள்? அவர்கள் எவ்வகையில் மற்ற தொழிலாளிகளை விட உயர்ந்தவர்கள்? எதற்காக அவர்களுக்கு இலவச வீட்டு நிலங்கள்? இக்கேள்விகளை கேட்க எதிர்கட்சிகள் கூட தயங்குகின்றன சினிமா காரர்களின் தயவு வேண்டும் ஒட்டு வாங்க என்பதினால். என்ன ஒரு அநியாயம்.

முதல்வர் தான் இப்படி என்றால் சினிமா காரர்கள் மகா கேவலம். எதற்காக தமிழக முதல்வருக்கு பாராட்டுவிழா? அப்படியே அவர் உங்களுக்கு நல்லது செய்திருந்தால் அது அவரது கடமை, முதல்வரின் வேலை. வெட்கமில்லையா உங்களுக்கு? யாரு முதல்வரா வந்தாலும் பாராட்டு விழா பல முறை எடுத்து வேண்டியதை சாதிதுக்கொள்கிறீர்கள். பொதுமக்களின் பணத்தில் உங்களுக்கு எதற்கு இலவசங்கள்?

மொத்தத்தில் ஆள்றவனுக்கும் வெட்கமில்லை ஆடரவங்களுக்கும் வெட்கமில்லை தமிழகத்தில்.

Feeling Guilty for Helping Runaway Marriage

Feeling Guilty last 2, 3 days.

One of my friend was loving a girl. The girl's mother and brother(her father passed away long time back) came to know about their love and they were not ready accept it. My friend planned to run away and get married. We all(Friends) came to know about it and advised him to not to do that and asked him to wait until her family accepts. But, he did not mind whatever we said. He just asked us "whether you guys will help me or not?". After all he is our friend So we decided to help him out.

Saturday night, She informed him that she would be coming to Murugan Temple on Sunday. So last Sunday, Morning 6.00 am we(10 guys) left from my house and followed her from her home till she reaches the temple. Four of us including our hero went inside the temple following her and remaining 6 guys stayed out with a car and 2 bikes. She, her mother and her brother were praying all the gods and walking inside the temple. Suddenly that girl ran away with my friend but her brother and her mother did not notice that for few seconds. Then one of my friend and I saw that they were searching their girl. Still that moment stays in my eyes. Then I realized that we did a mistake. We could feel her mother's pain.

We asked my friend to inform her brother or mother that you people ran away so that they will come to know. But my friend did not do that saying that they will find us. What a fool he is!? So selfish. Finally, we traveled around 150 kms then they got married in a temple then they went to guy's house traveling 150 kms back.

After I saw her mother searching her daughter in the temple. I felt very guilty. I felt I did a very big mistake. Not only me but all my friends felt guilty. I realized now, I am sure I will not do such a mistake again in my life. Though its legal that two majors can get married and no one can stop them. But still running away from home is not acceptable.

Girls please don't do that mistake again.

ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவனும் புரியா விமர்சகர்களும்!!

ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவன் கண்டிப்பாக ஆயிரத்தில் ஒரு படைப்பு. மிக அற்புதமான படம். அவதார், மம்மி போன்ற ஆங்கில படங்களை தலையில் தூக்கி வைத்து கொண்டாடுகிறார்கள் ஆனால் இப்படத்தை பழிக்கிறார்கள்!

இப்படத்தை பற்றிய எல்லா ரிவிவ்யும் சோழர்களை தரக்குறைவாக சித்தரிப்பதாக சொல்கிறது. இந்த மாதிரி புரியாத ஜென்மங்களுக்க்காகதான் "இக்கதை கற்பனையே" என்று படம் தொடங்குவதுற்கு முன்பே போடுகிறார்கள். ஏழு மிக பெரிய பிரமாண்டமான தடங்களை உண்டு பண்ணியவர்களுக்கு உணவிற்கு வழி பண்ண தெரியாதான்னு கேள்வி கேட்கிறார்கள், சோழர்களோ பயந்து உயிர் வாழ ஒரு குகை போன்ற இடத்தில வாழ்கிறார்கள். அவர்களின் முன்னோர்களின் சொல்லை கேட்டு வெளியே வர பயந்து உள்ளேயே இருக்கும்போது எப்படி நாகரீகம் எல்லாம் சாத்தியமாகும்? மன்னன் தன மக்களை கொல்வதால் அவன் கடைசியில் சிக்க வேண்டும் என்று தோன்றவில்லை என்று ஆவீ-யில் போட்டிருக்கிறார்கள். தப்பு செய்பவர்களை மன்னன் தண்டிப்பது தானே சரியானது!?

எல்லோரும் ரீமாசென் நடிப்பை மட்டுமே புகழ்கிறார்கள். ரீமாசென்-இன் நடிப்பு நன்றாக உள்ளது அவர் துப்பாக்கி தூக்கும் இடங்களை தவிர. அன்ட்ரியா-வும் நன்றாகவே நடித்துள்ளார். கார்த்தி-இன் நடிப்பும் மிக நன்றாகவே உள்ளது.

ஆனாலும் சில விஷயங்கள் புரியவில்லை இப்படத்தில். அடுத்த நாட்டிற்கு சென்று நம் நாட்டு ராணுவம் அவர்கள் மக்களை கொல்வது சாத்தியமா? அல்லது அந்த தீவு எந்த நாட்டிற்கும் சேராமல் உள்ளதா? ஒருவேளை அந்நாடு நமக்கு முழு சுதந்திரத்தை குடுதுள்ளதுன்னு வைத்துக்கொண்டால் இதுவும் சாத்தியமே. அடுத்து, அந்த புதை மணல். நடராஜரின் நிழல் பலவகையான reflection -க்கு அப்புறம் உருவாக்க முடியும்ன்னு வைத்துக்கொண்டாலும், எப்படி நடராஜரின் சிலையின் நிழல் அவ்வளவு வேகமாக மறைகிறது? எனக்கு physics நல்லா தெரியவில்லை அதனால் இது எனக்கு புரியவில்லை.

பிரம்மாண்டம் என்றால் என்ன என்று உணர்த்திய செல்வராகவனுக்கு நன்றி!!!
